CITDMUN

CITD Model United Nations Conference (CITDMUN) is a one day conference May 21st, held at the San Bernardino International Airport 165 N. Leland Norton Way, San Bernardino, CA 92408. The conference is completely FREE. There are no Delegate fees or service charges for this conference.  CITD is sponsoring the event and is also providing free lunch on the day of the event. The goal is to showcase and highlight the value and benefits on MUN programs across the state to high schools and colleges in California. Our goals is to develop more programs that teach the importance and value of being globally aware. The conference will host 3 committees, with topics:​

General Assembly: 

  1. Adapting to Globalization: The New International Economic Order and the Green Economy

  2. The Impact of Migration on Development

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO):

  1. Human Security and Post Crisis Rehabilitation

  2. Agribusiness and entrepreneurship development for poverty reduction

Security Council:

  1. Children in Armed Conflict

  2. The Situation in North Korea

We will be helping local middle schools and high schools start their own programs by providing training on how to start a MUN program and providing respective curriculum and resources.  Local schools will have access to teacher stipends and transportation grants for student field trips to the event.
